Women’s Ritual Circle Dances with Claudia

Women’s Circle Dancing is a monthly gathering held at Orizon Center in Crete, led by Claudia Welter.
These traditional dances invite women to move together in a shared rhythm rooted in community, presence, and respect for the Earth.

About the Practice
The traditional women’s dances embody a worldview centred on harmony, community, and reverence for the Earth and the Goddess. Originating in cultures that existed before rigid patriarchal structures, including ancient Crete, these dances preserve values of peace, sustainability, and collective support.
The movements are simple enough for beginners, while offering depth and insight for experienced dancers. Carried through generations, they hold embodied wisdom that supports women in navigating life’s transitions with dignity, grace, and joy.
